Cherry Bowl with India Ink Rim (6 inches) - No. 364
Hand-made, food-safe wooden bowl made from repurposed Black cherry. The bowl measures 6 inches in diameter and about 2 inches tall. The item is finished with a food-safe, allergen-free blend of linseed oil and beeswax. The black rim is made of India Ink. The bowl is made from re-purposed lumber from trees downed in Baltimore City parks and boulevards. By re-purposing the timber, trees are given a second life instead of going to a landfill, and the proceeds fund reforestation efforts. HarberWoods works with Baltimore City’s Forestry Department which collects the valuable timber and makes the wood available to the public at the Camp Small sawmill. We hand-pick small quantities of select rounds from walnut, cherry, ash, Bradford pear, sycamore, or other species that are seasonally available at Camp Small. The bowl is signed, dated, and labeled by the artist.
