Seller not responsible for damage to mounting surfaces. BRUSHED STEEL FINISH: This finish is a rustic, forged steel finish. It is not a high shine, clean factory gloss kind of look. If you are looking for shiny steel knobs this finish is not for you. some forge scale will be present. While it does have a slight shine, it is not polished steel. It is however wonderfully unique, and offers a truly handmade feel that you can't find with mass produced items. After wire brushing, I add a coat of blended linseed oil and beeswax which provides a natural barrier to help prevent corrosion. (Not recommended for outdoor use.) OIL BLACKENED FINISH: This satin black finish has touches of grey, and allows the texture and forge work in the steel to come through. BRASS BRUSHED FINISH: This finish is achieved by heating the steel and brushing using a real brass bristle brush.
