Drosera binata var. binata Potted Live Rare Carnivorous Plant - Beginners Bug Catcher
While the forked sundew is known for many things--including being a fearsome gnat trapper--I personally refer to it as my "antibody" sundew. These elegant antibody-shaped leaves are lovely to watch unfurl. Drosera binata (var. binata) grows a very extensive network of roots and will seemingly multiply in growing points every year. This is a warm temperate sundew species. Expect your plant to go dormant in the fall/winter in response to light and temperature changes. If grown with artificial lights, dormancy should still be observed for the health of your plant! It's when the plant is working on their roots! Plant will ship potted with an established rooted growing point. Active growing points typically have between 1-3 leaves. After shipping, plant divisions may die back initially and take a few weeks to resume active growth (being in the dark shipping container may confuse the plant into thinking it is time to go dormant). Expect plants to go dormant between October and February. We recommend increasing humidity while acclimating! *For orders traveling out of the US west coast, we HIGHLY recommend upgrading to priority shipping. While we offer live delivery guarantee (send us a photo within 24 hours of delivery), we are not responsible for weakened plants that do not recover due to prolonged shipping stress. By placing your order, you agree to these terms and conditions. Grown and cared for by a carnivorous plant-obsessed molecular biologist in Daly City, CA.
