The bear is made using a combination of Pine, Maple, Birch, and Poplar. The fallen trees are cut into various size wooden rounds. They are glued onto a birch wood backer with a clear waterproof construction adhesive. It is then covered with a wood stain to give it color but also let the natural wood grain show through. It is then coated in a water-based acrylic topcoat to help with moisture resistance. They are a great addition to your front door, porch, gazebo, or any wall!
