I made this butter keeper from pretty porcelain clay and then added the design that includes sea shells on the lid and an octopus on the tray. The oval space for your butter is 3" x 5" and sits on a tray that is 10" x 6". The lis is 4" high x 4" wide by 6.5" long. It's a gorgeous piece of functional pottery that I learned to make following a Martha Grover tutorial. This can be used in the microwave (if you need to soften your butter a little) and dishwasher.
