Solid Sterling Monarch Opal "Full Moon" Ring created by Wildflowyr Jewelry. This one-of-a-kind ring features a sparkling Monarch opal that resembles a brilliantly shining full moon! I created the ring from solid sterling silver, using this "floral" patterned silver band, which is 3.4mm wide. I set the 10mm opal in a solid sterling crown bezel, which I securely soldered to the band. Pictured in the antiqued version, but you may opt for shiny sterling. A little more about Monarch opal: This cultured opal, as well as natural opal, are both created from particles of silica dioxide and water. However, monarch opal is grown, and it takes 4-6 months for the growing process to complete. This opal color comes from light refraction, NOT dyes.
