Just perfect for a watercolor painter, this ceramic palette and rinse bowl with a place for your paintbrushes to rest when not in use are a perfect gift for an artist. It is handmade pottery that is art in itself that will serve as inspiration! The bowls were made on my pottery wheel out of durable stoneware clay and measure around 3" high x 5" wide and will hold 2 cups of water (about 16 ounces). I offer two types of palettes. One palette for mixing your paints features five reservoirs to hold and separate your paint and then a surface on which to mix the paint. This palette measures 8" across (10" diagonally from corner to corner). I added a ridge down the center so you can have two mixing areas that won't co-mingle. I really like these palettes for plein air painting or to take to a class or workshop. It's compact and lightweight, yet gives enough surface for mixing several colors. The water bowls feature a sweet designs of a bunny among some wildflowers, a bluebird, a ginger cat, flowers/bumblebees, and a frog holding a heart. Also sheep, owls and a butterfly, The interior of the bowls and the palette are left white so you can see your colors clearly. I also like having the inside of the cup white so that you can tell if your water is getting too murky with paint as you rinse your brush. You can choose the palette only, the cup only or both as a set.
