This handmade ceramic fruit bowl glazed in shades glazed in a satin clear over porcelain clay features dozens and dozens of heart cut outs. I sprayed a light coating of an eggplant purple along the top rim for added interest. It was made on my pottery wheel from porcelain clay. It's a unique and stunning piece of handmade pottery that will be valued by anyone who receives it. Perfect Mom gift. I hand carved the random heart design that allows the light from a votive candle to show through the incised design or anything (like fruit or holiday decorations) you hold inside it to show through - like the pears you see above. I love the shadows that this bowl throws against the surface on which it sits when you place a candle inside or shine a light on it. So dramatic! This handmade pottery bowl makes a wonderful collectible gift item for a wedding couple, someone with a new home or a new baby, or a new job with an office that needs some elegant decoration.
