This pretty valentine red berry colander is just the right size to rinse, store and serve a small amount of fresh fruit or vegetables. If you make smoothies in the morning (or any time), this strainer will rinse around 2 cups of fruit that can then be poured into your blender or put on your yogurt or cereal. I created this ceramic handmade berry bowl on my pottery wheel out of porcelain clay, adding some round holes in the bottom for water to flow through when you rinse fruit. It has a raised foot so that water won't pool in the bottom of the colander when it sits on a tray or counter top. It features a beautiful glaze in a rich, deep red. This cup will hold around 2 cups of berries, maybe more, and is 3" high x 4.5" across. Microwave safe (should you wish to steam some veggies in it) and dishwasher safe.
