Vintage Gold-Tone Bar Pin Brooch Chain Drape Blue Iris Glass
My friend Susan was a talented jewelry artist in the 1970's through 1990's. She designed many of her own components and sold her work in boutiques and at craft fairs. When Susan died, I inherited a large painted tin filled with her jewelry findings. The bar pin was part of Susan's collection. Gold-tone plate over pewter, it's 2-1/8" (54mm) wide and 5/8" (15mm) high. Scrolling vines and floral patterns are reminiscent of Victorian style vintage jewelry which Susan so loved. I added all the chains and beads to the pin. Six gold-tone chains drape in a graceful arced semi-circle below the glass beads. Faceted glass beads are called blue iris, a peacock teal blue-green with a rainbow AB (aurora borealis) coating. I am honored and privileged to re-imagine Susan's creations! I know she'd be happy her designs have found a new life. This limited-edition brooch is the perfect compliment for Bohemian chic, Victorian and vintage inspired styles. The last picture shows the back view. 2-1/8" wide by 2-3/8" long. Gift-ready in either an organza bag (default) or gift box upon request. Packaging styles change with availability.
