MAGIC FLIGHT ART STUDIO

As far as the acrylic paint pouring goes, every picture is different, unique, and provides a vast field of interpretation and understanding. You’re welcome to view every piece in the way you like and let your imagination take you into the world of colors, shades, and forms! But how did I come to acrylic painting and specifically to paint pouring? There were a few events, independent of one another: First, I lost my husband of more than 35 years, then the Russian war against Ukraine started (we all were born and grew up in Kyiv and still have friends and relatives there). I was totally emotionally devastated by it but didn’t know how to relive my sadness and grief. On one of these days, I went to Michael’s looking for some new pieces of artificial flowers and decorations for the house. Suddenly, I found myself in the painting supply aisle, looking at the canvas boards and acrylic paints. Why acrylic? I don’t like watercolors – they seem too watery and undefined for me. I also don’t like gouache paints – too thick and heavy. So, what’s left? – right, acrylic. I bought a small stack of canvas boards (8*8), a set of cheap brushes and a set of acrylic paints. And the rest is history!
