Impossible!!!  Clear liner cannot be removed without destroying the strip.  A waste of money-- DO NOT BUY.  There are no clear instructions on how to use this product either on the package or on their web site.  I'm now off to buy something else to complete my project.    [BTW, the review question scale of 0-10 on how likely you are to recommend Scotch Brand doesn't allow you to pick "0-Never", even though it is shown as a choice.  If you choose it, it blocks you from completing your post.  Talk about slanting survey results.]

I am so dissatisfied with this product that I considered shipping it back at my expense. I thought with the SCOTCH name it would be as good or better than Gorilla Mounting tape, NOT so.

I actually did not purchase the mounting strips to use for hanging an object, instead I used them to provide a cushion to my kitchen cabinet doors. They are great to prevent the doors from bumping against the wall.

I WORK AT A GROCERY STORE WHERE I HAVE TO HANG SIGNS ON THE BRICK WASS OUTSIDE IN THE WIND AND WEATHER. THIS IS THE ONLY TAPE THAT WILL HOLD THE SIGNS ON LONG-TERM.  THIS PRODUCT IS NOT A PRODUCT THAT SHOULD BE USED ON OR WITH DELICATE ITEMS.  IT WORKS GREAT TO HANG HEAVY PLASTOC SIGNS ON WINDOWS AS WELL.

I purchased this product this morning.  I was looking for something a little stronger than double sided tape for some hobby work.  The positive is that this has strong adhesive and I was able to make it serve my purpose.  The really big negative is that it's so difficult to use.  The adhesive backing is very, very difficult to remove and I almost gave up.  Perhaps some "best practices" directions could help.  Wouldn't buy this again.

After reading other reviews, I at least know the problem is with your product and not with me as a user of the product.  Removing the clear backing made a small, quick job a tedious, frustrating, maddening job.  And so completely unnecessary….just using the same paper backing on both sides would easily fix the problem.  Did you even bother to have a real person try it before manufacturing it?

Complete waste of money!!! Easy project turned into a nightmare because of the total frustration of not being able to take the backing off of the strip.  Had to start all over with a more reliable and user friendly option.  Lesson learned, never buying this product again.
