Bought this to make a memorial shadow bow and although it turned out beautifully, the frame itself needed to be reinforced with screws. 

Whether the backplate was in place or not, the frame was loose and would come apart when picking it up, leading to the glass pane falling out. 

The material on the background looks pretty cheap so I bought some sable suede to improve the quality.

For the price and for the how much of a pain this was to handle, I'm not exactly going to recommend this product. 

That being said, this shadow box was meant to display a loved one's favourite items so my expectations of quality were much higher than if it would have been used for a jersey or something less sentimental.

So far quality of the large shadow box frame seems to be good, I will know more as I work with it.

I bought two of these extra-large shadow box frames at $159 each to display two football jerseys for my son's birthday from the Sunrise store and the cashier failed to give me a sales receipt.  Then after going into my nearby Coral Springs store to get the needed supplies to do my project correctly, the employee assured me all I needed was some small pins to pin it up on the included board in the box frames. After trying this out, I discovered that was incorrect and headed back to the Coral Springs store again.  That employee who works in that specific picture framing department advised me that I still needed an additional backboard for both of them to complete my project.  Which again was incorrect information.  After spending almost $375 for this project that I wasn't ever able to complete in-time for his birthday is EXTREMELY DISSAPOINTING!!!   Your stores not only have a SEVERE LACK OF EMPLOYEES in each store location, but they also fail to have the knowledge they should have especially for their job description.  I CAN'T EVEN RETURN THE FRAMES NOW, BECAUSE I DON'T EVEN HAVE A SALES RECEIPT.  I will NEVER shop in your stores ever again!!!

after 2 days item fell off to bottom of box large heavy box now have to carry back to store leave there and pick up have someone come at home and put back on wall

This is NOT 2 inches of working space. Its more like an inch, bought it, put everything together and when I put the glass on, IT DIDNT CLOSE. I had already glued everything down, there was no chance of ripping it all off to return the box so we had to make do with duct taping the bottom corner shut.

First let me say that Michael's customer service has been great. The problem is the quality of this product. The corners have a small hinge and they do not support the weight of the frame. I never even got this on my way before the glass shattered and the corners broke apart.
