This is absolutely wonderful for sensory play! My oldest son doesn't like when his hands get "dirty" so activities like this are wonderful to help introduce him to new textures. It allowed him to focus on the fun and the outcome of his cupcakes instead of what it left his hands looking like. This definitely requires parental supervision if you are going to try to allow any young children play with it due to the small pieces and the obvious taste testing temptations, but over all this is such a fun kit and we look forward to continuing to play with it more!

All three of my kids have so much fun playing with this cupcake foam cafe set. It brings hours of fun. They can mix and match. It definitely is something to do with hands on activity.

This imaginary cupcake set was a perfect toy for helping to build motor skills and was good for sensory play. I think this product would compare to the likes of PlayDoh or clay, in the building aspect, but texture wise feels and looks more like you're playing with a Rice Krispie treat. It's not sticky though, so that was a major plus in my house! This toy was great for color recognition and imaginary play, so you could make different varieties of cupcakes. I would purchase this product and recommend it to friends and family. During my recommendation though, I would note that this should be played in an area that could be easily cleaned after the fact. The foam does stick together well, but an occasional ball would fall off here and there during play. The foam can also be hard to get out of the cupcake container when it's hardly pressed in it, but overall is a great toy. My daughter is 11 and could not resist playing with this foam toy as well.

With three year old twins and an 18 month old, I'm always looking for educational items that keep their attention. The foam itself is sticky to pull apart, but it does not leave your hands feeling sticky. Just like play dough and kinetic sand, once the colors are mixed, they are pretty much mixed. My kids loved making these foam cupcakes. We first did our own style cupcakes. They loved being able to put the candles on top and sang "Happy Birthday" almost the entire time. The kids also enjoyed matching their cupcakes to the cards. This would be a great birthday gift for any kiddo and I would highly recommend to all parents. The only down side is that I do wish the packaging that the foam came in felt a bit more permanent.

My girls are 6 and 3 and they loved making different cupcakes! They played this with my dad and my two brothers who are 18 and 21 years old. I think my brothers were having more fun than my daughters. It's definitely an activity that's fun for the whole family and keep them busy for hours! I love how it doesn't make a mess like other sensory items and it doesn't dry out so it can be used over and over again!

This set was a lot of fun for my son to be able to get creative when it came to being able to design. It was also great for sensory play with him being able to feel and touch it as he was molding them to create the cupcakes. I like that he could place things inside of the cupcakes. This is great for little minds!

While this is fun for the kids, its not fun for the parents as the foam gets everywhere making it a hassle to clean.
