It was awesome to find premade frames in nontraditional sizes!!!!   It worked great for water color paper which is often non traditional sizes.

Unfortunately, it won't work for the 5x7 photo I have because it's already mounted on a heavy-weight mat board.  So it's two thick to fit between the two pieces of class.  I will have to return it.  It's a nice frame though.

This is a great alternative to a standard easel frame. It stands straight up on its own and allows you to “float” a photo in the center with a view through to the other side.

This frame is easily scratched/dented:  the wood underneath the black varnish seems oddly soft.  However, the float effect is really cool.  You slide out a plastic piece at the top of the frame, and then two pieces of glass can slide out, you place whatever you want to frame between them, and then slide the glass pieces back in and replace the plastic slide to keep everything secured.

I framed a piece of cross stitch and had it “float” about a half inch on the left and right because of the size of the design.  Putting the thin piece of Aida fabric between the two pieces of glass made it a TIGHT fit to slide them back into the frame, but it was possible with some patience and determination.  I definitely would not attempt to frame anything thicker than that, though.
