These clips are available in various sizes or depths depending on how thick your canvas and/or frame may require. Once installed, they lay flat against the back. I have begun to use these clips over any other means of fastening a canvas into a frame. To begin, I put in only one screw, into the frame portion. Often times, my customers want a different frame. So I do not include the screw into the canvas stretcher bar portion so as not to cause damage to the canvas back. Only when the frame is to be permanent will I use screws in both the frame and stretcher bar. In fact, a few customers require only the screw in the frame. When I need to change the frame, one screw makes it an easy switch too.

Is a perfect solution to keep canvases attached to any frame, and the best reason is that they come in different sizes to match the thickness of the stretcher from the back face of the frame.

While I like these, I would like them to have twice the number of screws

The Store on the west side of the town is  rip off. The "manager" would not refund me the exact amount for the frames I bought... He did some mombo jumbo thing and manages to keep 4 or 5 dollars for the return.   I will never walk into another Michael's store again. and I will tell everyone that I know what a rip off place it is.
