Smaller sizes are best for beginners but this makes a great gift or new hobby for anyone over 8! How Does it Work? The canvas holds the corresponding number or symbol for each diamond color provided in the kit. The diamond artist will peel back a portion of the plastic wrap on top of the canvas to allow for the diamond placement. The placement pen will then be dipped into the wax to allow it to stick to the diamonds (this is not done every time but only when the diamonds stop sticking to the placement pen). The diamonds being used are poured into the diamond holder tray and are picked up with the placement pen and placed down onto the uncovered area of the canvas. The adhesive on the canvas will stick to the diamond(s) releasing it from the placement pen. The corresponding number on the canvas is covered when the diamond is placed over it, showing only the sparkling color on top! This is repeated until all areas of the picture have a diamond placed onto it.<br>

This is my fifth diamond art project.   This one is of a higher caliber than one or two others.   I especially like the zip lock bags the dots are in - no need to cut and tape, as the others need.   It has a separate sheet for the dots and their symbols - very helpful.  This kit includes a 3 dot attachment with the stylus.   I am enjoying working this kit.
